Sergey Brin: The Birthday Party That Connected Tech's Elite
# Sergey Brin: The Birthday Party That Connected Tech's Elite
Google co-founder Sergey Brin appears in the Epstein files primarily through Ghislaine Maxwell's FBI deposition, where she described attending his birthday party in the Caribbean around 2010-2011.
The Caribbean Birthday Celebration
In her July 2025 FBI proffer interview, Maxwell described how she met Elon Musk at a party Brin organized:
"I was at an event for Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google. Um, and Sergey had arranged for it was for his birthday and we were a bunch of us. I don't even remember how many we were but it not many of us. Maybe I don't know. If I say 40, I I could be wrong. If it was 30 or 50, I don't remember."
The celebration took place on a private island in the Caribbean:
"Went to to um another friend's island. Somebody called Mr. Bigotsi in in the Caribbean"
Epstein Was Not Present
Critically, Maxwell emphasized that Jeffrey Epstein did not attend this gathering:
"**not with Epstein. He was not there** um to celebrate Sergey's birthday. And we were there together for I want to say three or four days, something like that in my memory."
This is significant because it shows Maxwell had social connections in tech circles independent of Epstein.
Who Was There
Maxwell mentioned that Elon Musk was among the approximately 30-50 guests at the multi-day celebration. The party was her first meeting with Musk:
"And um Mr. Musk was a present for that. And that was the first time you met him? As far as you know. As far as I remember, yes."
What the Documents Don't Show
The FBI deposition does not establish:
Maxwell's testimony places Brin as hosting a private birthday party that Maxwell attended - separate from any Epstein connection.
Eric Schmidt Reference
Separately, other documents in the Epstein files reference Maxwell offering to bring Google CEO Eric Schmidt to dinner at Epstein's house, but Maxwell's deposition focuses on the Brin birthday party as her primary tech industry connection.
