Bill Clinton in the Epstein Files: Maxwell's FBI Testimony Reveals Relationship Details
Direct FBI Testimony
In her July 2025 FBI proffer interview conducted in Tallahassee, Florida, Ghislaine Maxwell provided firsthand testimony about former President Bill Clinton's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
Maxwell's Assessment of Clinton-Epstein Relationship
When asked about Clinton's relationship with Epstein, Maxwell stated clearly:
"President Clinton liked me and we got along terribly well. But I never saw that warmth... with Mr. Epstein... I didn't see President Clinton being interested in Epstein. He was just a rich guy with a plane."
This characterization suggests Clinton's interest was primarily practical - access to Epstein's private aircraft for travel.
The White House Visit
Maxwell confirmed she accompanied Epstein to the White House:
"I went to the White House with Epstein once. For uh I think it was for a historical like one of those benefits and um I met the president then but like 1,000 other people shook his hand."
Chelsea Clinton's Wedding
FBI investigators specifically asked about Maxwell's attendance at Chelsea Clinton's wedding in 2010. Maxwell confirmed she attended, but clarified:
"I did attend Chelsea Clinton's wedding but that wasn't with Mr. Epstein... It was with Ted Waitt. My boyfriend."
When asked if Epstein was at the wedding, Maxwell stated definitively: "He was not."
The Blue Dress Painting
Investigators asked Maxwell about the infamous painting found in Epstein's Manhattan townhouse depicting Clinton in a blue dress. Maxwell's response:
"Oh, that thing? First I saw it was in the press. So, you never observed that in his brownstone? No. I thought it was hideous."
She claimed no knowledge of where Epstein obtained it or any gifts exchanged between Clinton and Epstein.
How Maxwell Knew Clinton
Maxwell explained her own relationship with Clinton developed independently:
"I had a very good friend of mine that was the known to be the mayor of Miami Beach, Philip Levine, and Philip and the president were very good friends. And I actually was introduced to the president post his coming out of the White House and became friendly with him because of Philip Levine."
