# Elon Musk: What the FBI Deposition Reveals About His Epstein Connection
In July 2025, Ghislaine Maxwell sat down with FBI agents for a recorded proffer interview. Among the many names discussed was Elon Musk. Her testimony provides firsthand detail about how they met and what she knew of his connection to Jeffrey Epstein.
How Maxwell Met Musk
According to Maxwell's FBI deposition (Day 2, Part 1, July 25, 2025), she met Musk at a birthday celebration for Google co-founder Sergey Brin:
"I met him um in I don't remember the year but it's going to be in 2000 and 10 11 something like that I think if my memory serves and um I was at an event for Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google. Um, and Sergey had arranged for it was for his birthday and we were a bunch of us. I don't even remember how many we were but it not many of us. Maybe I don't know. If I say 40, I I could be wrong. If it was 30 or 50, I don't remember."
The party took place on a private island in the Caribbean owned by someone Maxwell identified as "Mr. Bigotsi." Critically, she noted that **Epstein was not present** at this gathering:
"Went to to um another friend's island. Somebody called Mr. Bigotsi in in the Caribbean and **not with Epstein**. He was not there um to celebrate Sergey's birthday."
The celebration lasted "three or four days" according to Maxwell's recollection.
Second Meeting at the Oscars
Maxwell testified that she encountered Musk again at the Academy Awards:
"Aside from that time in around 2010 on the island of the Caribbean for a couple of days, did you have you seen do you know Mr. Musk beyond that time? Um, we met at um I was at the Oscars and we met at the Oscars."
The Epstein-Musk Connection
When asked whether Epstein knew Musk, Maxwell indicated she believed they communicated based on evidence she saw in discovery documents:
"Do you know whether Mr. Epstein knew Mr. Musk? I believe they did. And the only reason I say that it's not from my memory, but because I saw I I think I saw. My memory is that in Discovery, they were communicating on email. So you you have no personal knowledge of that? It's just what you've what you've seen from the press or from discovery? And I believe his brother's as well, actually."
What This Means
Maxwell's testimony establishes:
The deposition does not establish that Musk ever visited Epstein's properties or engaged in any wrongdoing. Musk has publicly stated he declined invitations from Epstein.
